Fourteen Madison-area companies are among the fastest-growing privately owned businesses in the U.S., including two Epic consultant companies.

Bluetree Network is marking its first year on the Inc. 5000. Founded in 2012, Bluetree has 250 employees, with about 60 of them in Madison, CEO Jeremy Schwach said.

Bluetree had $45.9 million in revenue in 2016, a three-year growth rate of 793 percent.

Nordic is one of the largest companies in the U.S. specializing in serving Epic clients. Nordic has more than 800 employees nationwide, including about 250 in Madison.

Nordic had $179.3 million in revenue in 2016, up 120 percent over three years ago. Founded in 2010, this is the fourth year that Nordic has made it onto the Inc. 5000 list.
